Leeton Ladies Bowlers Win Championship at Wagga RSL

Ladies Take the Championship and the Prize Money

On Tuesday, 15 September, a team of Leeton Ladies Bowlers made the trip to Wagga RSL Club for what turned out to be a brilliant day on the green. Jean Leighton, Elaine Sullivan, Dot Semler, and Patti Waterman represented Leeton with style and skill, coming home with both the championship and the prize money.

The ladies opened their account in a tight first game, needing some well-directed shots to get on top. Once they found their rhythm, however, the opposition never troubled them again. From that point on, the team played with confidence and composure, taking control of the competition and never looking back.

Congratulations to Jean, Elaine, Dot, and Patti on a tremendous result. A day well worth the trip to Wagga!
