Mixed Finals Result
What a match to remember! Joan Lloyd and Tim Barnes have taken out the Mixed Finals at Leeton Bowls, defeating Jan Walker and Andrew Reynolds in a nail-biting contest that kept spectators on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
The margin never exceeded 3 shots throughout the entire match, with the lead changing hands constantly between the two pairs. The teams were locked at 13-13 after 13 ends and again at 18-18 after 21 ends, making for a tense and exciting finish.
The turning point came in the final stages when Joan played a brilliant shot to clip the edge of the bowl and roll it out. That clutch manoeuvre secured 2 shots for Joan and Tim, and they held on from there to claim the title.
Congratulations to Joan Lloyd and Tim Barnes on their victory, and a huge well done to Jan Walker and Andrew Reynolds on an outstanding final. It was a superb display of bowls from both teams and a fitting contest for a club final.
